The Commute
Since moving to Santa Monica, I've wanted to document my drive to work in photos. It usually takes me about 50 minutes each way, but maybe these pictures will help to convey why it's not so bad.
First, my apartment.
After dealing with a little bit of traffic and a few stop lights, I make it out to Pacific Coast Highway (PCH). The ocean is on the left.

Then, I turn off PCH into Malibu Canyon.
You can just barely see the ocean in between the peaks in the middle of this picture, and the road I drove up is off to the right:
That's a Ferrari, two Lotuses, and a Porsche in front of me.

The final stretch in on the 101 freeway through the Conejo Valley.

That is a beautiful view! Sometimes in the morning rush hour, it took me almost 50 min to go the 4 miles from my Decatur apartment to Emory and what scenery did I have? Beautiful N.Decatur Rd!
Such a gorgeous commute! Too bad most of it seems to be up in flames right now :(
Oh man. I know you said you were jealous of Joann and I, but now we are jealous of you. :)
